I am so happy to be back selling and couldn't be happier where I'm doing it at. Bungalow Antiques located in the Whizens Center in Agoura Hills Ca. is a great store filled with wonderful dealers and merchandise. When you walk in your greeted with a friendly staff along with our two new fresh faces Joey and Amber that make it so fun and hip, everyone just loves them. If you are ever in the area or in town you won't be disappointed. We will soon have a Farmers Market in the parking lot on Tuesdays comming soon and there is a great little Cafe called Blue Table where you can grab a bite to eat. I'm adding some new booth pics with more comming soon to wet your appetite.

Sorry there are sooo many, I kept taking new pics as I added merchandise and didn't want to edit my photos so I threw them all in....

Its been such a busy summer and everyone keeps asking "When are you going to post again"? Well here I am, I'll try to be better. Since I've take space at Bungalow Antiques in Agoura, Ca. a few months ago its made me even busier and given me reason to shop. shop. shop which I love to do. As if I needed a reason. I have been doing a little re- decorating around my house also, nothing major but I will post those pictures at another time but for now I will post some more pictures of my booth at the store. I didn't realize how much I missed and am so happy to be doing what I love best buying and selling.

Well for those of you that are locals everyone knows the store BUNGALOW ANTIQUES in Agoura Hills. I just couldn't stay away from the business, so I am happy to say I took a space and joined the girls at Bungalow. If you've never been there its worth the trip. This store is full of the best dealers around and the staff is so helpful and friendly. The store is full of all the stuff we love. You can make a day of it as there are 4 other Antique stores in the same complex. My space is a work in progress but I will share a few pictures as it progresses. Wish me luck!

There is nothing like the first bloom. I returned home today from being out of town to this.....Seems like everything in my yard just came alive. I just wanted to share with you some of my beautiful roses. Tomorrow I will go out and cut some to bring indoors. They have all just begun to bloom, It will be about another 2 weeks for all of my rose bushes to explode, I will be posting more pics soon.

What do you do when you have a high shelf surrounding your bedroom....fill it with stuff for your husband to enjoy while he is lying in bed, haha. Nothing like a little distraction, it could be a good thing or a bad thing....TMI right? But you girls out there get it. HaHaIn the Spring and Summer I move my chair and lamp so I can open both French Doors. Its heavenly with the smell of the Jasmine comming through off my patio.

Its a good place to put all your beloved oil paintings when you run out of room in the rest of your house.

When I feel I have nothing to interest all you wonderful interesting bloggers out there Jennifer goes and links me on her newest blog and I feel compelled to have something new posted. So I went through some pictures I had taken around the house recently. Thats all I have to offer, no recipes, no crafty projects, no great stories, just pictures of stuff. But after all thats what we do is surround ourselves with stuff...stuff that makes us happy when we look at it, until we find new stuff which makes us switch up the old stuff....ok I'm rambling, hope I don't bore you with more pictures of stuff! Its feast or famine with me so grab a cup of mojo cause here it goes. Couldn't decide which pics to show you so I added them all.

I always forget to add the story after you post your pics cause it all goes in backwards, anyone know why that is???Crazy.

Oh and by the way I loved seeing you yesterday Jennifer at the Wednesday Ventura Flea Market. The chairs look wonderful around your table...yes girls I got a sneek peek, just wait till you see the pictures.

Rest and Relaxation

It just started raining here, perfect timing after a

long few days of preparing for my Barn Sale. What a success it was, out with the old and in with the new. Never expected to sell as much as I did, including all that I pictured on my last post. Time to start re-decorating after I enjoy the next couple of days of rest and birdwatching. I just love my new Finch feeder. Have a great weekend and thanks to all my loyal friends and long time customers for showing up to my last minute barn sale.

I just love going to a Flea Market and comming home with the intentions of selling everything I purchased....then the second guessing....maybe I could use this there or maybe I should switch this out...that is what I did today. I found the cuttest painted side table, although it isn't as long as it could have been, I decided to change out my Old, but wonderful wicker sofa back table filled with my Barbola Mirrors, Tole Lamps and Victorian Beaded Flowers Collection. I love the lightness it gave my entry. It is smaller so I needed to pull up one of my French Carved Chairs and I am so happy with the change and the way it came out. Don't you agree its a huge improvement? So if there's anyone out there that could use a really long (5 1/2 ft.) Heywood Wakefield wicker Library table with a great shelf below let me know, its up for grabs or should I say for sale. There is one on ebay right now for $1050.00, I will sell mine for $650.00. (SOLD)

I wanted to share some pictures of my office I've just redone. This room was featured in Romantic County Magazine in 2007 dream Rooms when it was full of floral fabrics and my Rose Oil Paintings. I repainted the walls white and wanted to keep with a softer palette. It is much more serene and a nice place to work without all the distraction of color.

I did two posts because I had trouble with the pictures. I guess if I posted more often I wouldn't have this problem, haha.

I've Been Such a Slacker....

Its been 3 months since I've posted a blog and it took me 3 times to get signed in because I forgot my password...that should tell you something. Its been a great and busy Summer between leaving the Antique store and focusing on my home business I'm happy to say its proven to be successful. The feature of my home in Romantic Country Magazine was a nice help I actually feel like I'm working harder though....I'm not complaining by any means.

I've had some fun re-doing my eating area with a Vintage Oak French Dining Room Set I picked up. I had some white linen ruffled slips made for the seats to bring in the white and make it look a little more casual. Its a huge table over 7 ft. long and has a 2.5 ft. leaf that I can put in. The backs of the end chairs are a tan naugahide but it works for now. I traded out my Primative Farm Table and 6 white chairs. The chairs are sold but my 7 ft. Farm table is still available for sale. You can see it in the magazine or my past posts.

I also picked up a wonderful Old Black Iron Bed from a friend so I revamped my guest room a bit. I love how the bed is so high now and looks so comfy...makes me wanna come visit lol.

Well this last month I made a huge decision to leave the Antique store where I've been selling for 15 years and re-invent myself sort of. So I took my little barn where I stored all my merchandise (which was disgusting inside I might add) and had it refurbished, now its like I have my own little store to putter in and decorate (which I knew I would miss moving from the store) because you know its all about putting it together and walking away knowing that your space looks awesome, that gives you that creative fix we love. Now when I have my sales from the house its more inviting and intimate. I had a sale here yesterday and it was so successful and fun..here's a few pics of how it looked in the process of putting it together. Hope everyones having a wonderful 4th of July. I am excited and honored to be in the lastest issue of Romantic Country Magazine, Summer 2009. I want to thank Fifi O'neil, Sunday Hendrickson and photographer John Ellis for their hard work and effort. It was such a fun day and when I say day, I mean they were here almost 10 hours. You think they just come in snap a few pics and waa laa.... but theres so much more that goes into this. I will give you a sneek peek but you should go out and buy the magazine because its full of great eye candy and inspiration for that decorating and creative fix we all crave.

This weekend on my hunt for "Fascinatingfinds" I stumbled across this great Bamboo and Wicker Bike. I've never seen one like this, have you? When I spotted it I thought.......this is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Picture this in your garden or in your store for a fabulous display. Its Soooo Tommy Bahama or Ralph Lauren with a little Hawaiiana. Omg and if you cruise around on this cool cruiser you'll be the talk of the town. If anyone has any idea or info on a bicycle like this I hope you'll pass on the info. The man I bought this from bought this used many years ago in Hawaii. Between listing on my Ebay, Keeping my Store stocked where I sell my goods, Keeping up with my Website (which I've been awful at), Chasing every Flea Market I can get to, My gardening, My house, My hubby, I mean honestly how do you gals do it. Well we've all seen these little Swivel Vanity Chairs before but I thought this one was so cute when I spotted it at the Flea Market this week with its fench Blue Velvet Tufted Seat with little Tassels.

There looked to be something missing on the back so I found a pair of Vintage Earings with White Stones and Rhinestones so I proceeded to cut the clip on backs off and glued one on the front and one on the back and waalaa!

By no means am I a crafty person but I thought it came out pretty cute.

I'm puttin it out there in the universe, if there is someone that can help my friend Debra from The English Cottage Collection...I got her into this bloggin thing and she has now totally surpassed me, I know this isn't a contest but omg she has the greatest blogs next to that other Deb at Talkin Trash. Anyway I can't seem to figure out (nor can she) why my pics will enlarge with a click and hers won't. So after you enjoy reading her posts I know you gals out there can help her, so give her a visit and help my dear old friend out. I can only do so much..........I'm exhausted, you know I'm just kidding Betz.

While I'm here I will share with you a little project I've been working on the last couple of days. My middle son moved out a year ago and left his poor momma with an empty room I just always loaded with crap. If you know what I mean. Well a Pair of Vintage Tole Wall Sconces inspired me to start cleaning up that space and this is how it stands today...no before pics but believe me its a big improvement.

Now when he comes home my sweet son Tracy can sleep in the Guest Room.

Back in the swing of it all......At least trying

Oh.... I'm so trying to get back into the swing of it all. I want to do so much and I only end up doing everything half way. I'm feeling the itch to re-decorate (which I've been working on, I'll give you a peek but I'm not done). I've been wanting to sell my sofa for awhile... although its beautiful I'm over it so I purchased 4 white slipcovered wing chairs and made a nice conversation area in my living room. It allowed me to simplify my room by getting rid of a few pieces that surrounded my sofa. I will update this pic this week when I finish, But I'm loving it so far. I moved these two great chairs I had in my living room into my Dining room and took the dark ones out and it looks great. I'll get a pic of that on also.

Dennis and I just want to wish our good friend Debra a Happy _0 th Birthday. Its a big one but I'll never disclose the number. Lets just say she looks like she's celebrating her 30th. You may recognize her, she's beautiful, talented and everything she does, she does to the 10's. Give her a visit and wish her the best. I hope you're out there celebrating (Betz) and having a wonderful time with your family. Maybe we can get together and do a little celebrating ourselves when you get home, You with your Sangria, me with my Margarita. Oh and have a wonderful Christmas also,

Just a quick little post to let everyone know I'm still alive.... if anyone cares.

I've been to bogged down to blog. A couple of days ago we had a nice little rain and we woke up to the sound of water running through the creek that runs through my yard. Theres nothing like that sound, so serene, and by tomorrow morning it should be a little rushing river as we're expecting a storm tonight. I finally put up the tree and did a little decorating around my home so I'll share a few pics with you and until I blog again.......Goodnight my friends.

I just wanted to take the time to wish each and everyone one of you a wonderful Thanksgiving. My turkeys in the oven, my table is set. I didn't want the usual bouquet of flowers from Costco so I managed to rummage through the house, gather some random candles, grabbed a pumpkin and used this wonderful Flea Market Find from this week. Its a wonderful Old silver tray and this is what I ended up with. I thought it looked quite cool so I decided to share it with you.

I also wanted to share a family fav in our house. Whenever we have a function, this is what my daughter asks for. This year she made them........

Individual Cream Cheese Tarts

3 8oz pkgs cream cheese

5 eggs

1c. sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla

Cream eggs w cream cheese one at a time, add sugar gradually, add vanilla. fill cupcake liner 2/3 full bake 30 min. @ 300

cool 5 min and mix the following ingredients. together and spoon into well of the cake

1/4 c. sugar

1 c. sour cream

1/4 tsp vanilla

Then add a dalap of pie filling, preserves etc. pop back in oven for 5 min then chill....Your family will love these!

One more thing....

Happy Birthday My Son........

How does this happen........ one minute your rocking your babies in your arms, singing Itsy Bitsy Spider and reading Good Night Moon and the next minute your watching..... them Rock their babies... Daisy and Simba in this case, My son Tracy's precious 2 dogs he rescued and now He's singing his own songs. Today is my middle childs birthday and although we celebrated last night I just wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday and share him with all of you. He is quite an amazing young man (If I don't say so myself) and I love him with all my heart (well... divided by three, he has an older brother and little sis) but this is about him. He turns 24 today but he might as well be 2 because when I see him I want to still cuddle him in my arms, (and I do) look at that face wouldn't you?? Tracy's a very talented Singer/Songwriter, Writes all his own music and is the sole singer in both bands he started. He plays the Keyboard and Guitar and I share him with everyone I know. His style of music is Indie-Rock and has been playing gigs around L.A. for 4 years. He has cut 3 cd's and is working on his fourth. He has two bands and Emmitt Kelly and Sincere Parody, and if I could figure out how to put his music on you'd be listening to it right now. BUT..... if you click on the links you can listen to it on his sites. He loves to surf and has a beautiful girlfriend Dominique who we all love. Besides all that he is a Wonderful Compassionate Person and well liked by everyone who meets him, He loves his family and I am proud to say I'm His mom. So Happy Birthday Sweetie (and I hope you don't get mad at me for sharing) I love you so much and hope you have an Amazing Birthday!!!!

Just thought I'd post a quick before and after of the new paint color in my living room. Although Jennifer's Photo can't be beat with my old digital, I did my best....Maybe Santa will see this and get me a new camera for Xmas...hint hint. I'm open to suggestions on which Digital to buy.... oops.. I mean ask Santa for...so I'm countin on my Blogggin Buddies for some input. By the way the old paint was the green...Behr Light Lichen. The new is Ralph lauren's Sisal.

I found this wonderful Old Oil Painting of these 3 Baby Cubs and almost flipped. It is titled The Kings Children and its dated 1931. isn't it great!

Sorry this Little Doe is Sold

How cute is this Little Old Cement Doe I found today. You can put her anywhere inside or out, she makes me smile everytime I look at her. She came with all her original dirt also. My First Award.......

I've been instructed by one of the best of bloggers ~Teresa from Garden Antqs Vintage~to tell you 6 things about me and go on to nominate 6 bloggers I admire....so here goes
.1 I can never stay on the task at hand. I go from one thing to another until nothing seems to get accomplished, it drives me crazy...Can we say ADDERALL

.2 I have this thing for my power blower. In any given day it will be used at least once if not many times around here. If I never own a broom again I wouldn't miss it. Everyday I blow my garage out, my patios and I've even been known to stand inside my house and blow out the doors......a little obsessive wouldn't you say?

.3 I love to eat and could probobly out eat any man, Just ask any one of my friends. My favorite food is Mexican. Chips, Good Salsa and a Margarita and
I'm good....which takes me to question #4.

.4 I am Italian and Swedish and was raised on Mexican food. My Grandparents were from Italy and in the 1940's opened a little cafe in North Hollywood Ca. Called Rusty's Hacienda. With a wide variety on the menu my grandfather said the enchiladas became more popular then the pasta so he went that direction with his business. The business expanded and grew to 3 other locations, we basically were the first Mexican Restaurant food chain in Southern California. Needless to say our whole family grew up in the restaurant business till 1991 when my grandfather and father passed away and they were closed. They were open for 51 years. What great memories!

5. The things I love first and formost is my family. I've been married 30 years but met my husband when I was only 13. So I've known him 39 years. My 3 kids are the greatest and we have so much fun when we're all together which is alot of the time...... and I love my Roses, Hydrangeas, the Sun, Boating, Backgammon, the Ocean, my Friends, and My Surroundings. Oh and a good Flea Market is definately at the top of my list. Looking for old Ironstone, Tole, Oil Paintings, Butter Pats, Etched Mirrors, Old Iron Elements...I could go on and on....whoops I've already done that. I'll make #6 short.

6. I'm a very visual person and I can't hardly relax in my own home, I'm always looking around brainstorming about the next thing I want to do in my home. .... sounds like I need medication wouldn't you agree?

Fab Flea Market Finds........

What a great day at the Flea Market on Sunday. Not only was it a gorgeous day, I found lots of treasures, the kind I don't usually come across. I love Old Czech Glass Beaded Lamps. Have you ever seen one? If you haven't your in for a treat. In The pics of my home on Jennifers Old Painted Cottage site you will see the one and only one I own. I purchased this one to sell and it is listed on my Ebay site. Its just exquisite one of the prettiest I've seen.

Another treasure is an Old Litho Print of the cuttest 3 English Bulldogs...just look at their faces, and last but not least a fabulous Vintage French Ottoman with the most amazing Pink Roses and French Blue fluted legs. Meanwhile I am having my home repainted, the green Behr paint (Light Lichen) that so many of you loved and asked about is being changed to Ralph Lauren's (Sisal). While the green is new to you I needed a change and I wanted all the walls in my downstairs to match my great room. I'm loving it!!!!

Are your roses still blooming? Here in California where it will be 80 degrees today I had to step outside and take a break from my computer. Its hard to think Holidays and Fall when your roses are still blooming. But I love, love, love, my roses and I'm never ready for those 3 months when I can't look out my windows and see them. Should I mention I have over 180 Rosesbushes in my yard.

First and formost I feel honored that Barbara chose my blog as her~Blog Du Jour~this month... So now the pressure is on, especially since she mentions I've only posted a couple of times. Since I was on the subject of my Objects of Desire I thought I'd throw in a few pictures of another one of my sicknesses (oh I mean passions) for Old Tole. The rustier the better in my book and if you can find a Pair well you know you hit the mother load. Most everything I own is in pairs. (I'm a Libra and it must come from the whole balancing thing). I love Tole Wall Sconces, Candleholders, Lamps, Oh and if you see a Tole Birdcage don't pass it up it may be years before you see another one.....I think Tole Pieces add such a Romantic Garden feel to a home, it brings the Garden in even when your garden isn't Blooming....So Enjoy! Occasionally you will find Old Tole pieces on my ebay site under Fascinatingfinds. Thanks again Barbara!

I thought you should know that I'm a Heavy Metal Junkie..... Although not in the usual sense. I have this wierd affection for Cast Iron Urns and Doorstops, Floral Tole Trays and Tole Sconces, French Enamelware, Old Wireware Baskets, Birdcages etc. etc. Most of which carry a floral theme. I thought I'd share with you my collection of Old Doorstops and Cast Iron Curtain Tiebacks. I will add some pictures that were featured and photographed for a Local Magazine in our area called 805 Living. Doorstops are so fun to collect and decorate with, especially when grouped together.....So enjoy!

Tweeking My First Blog

Or should I say my second.... I was feeling all proud of the first Blog and as I was proof reading it and tweeking it I deleted it somehow. HOW FRUSTRATING!
Anyway it was about time spent figuring how to blog, The Stock Market Plummeting and How I will just bury my head and continue on with my Multi-Tasking since I can't change the world and then I went on to tell you about my day yesterday where I was a Vendor instead of a Buyer at our local Ventura County Flea Market....Ok, I will slow down....Breeeathe........My friends have been trying to get me to sell at Flea Markets for a long time so lets say I finally succumbed. OMG! What a fun day, not only did my sweet husband of 30 years share in the experience, (its way different when your on the other end, selling instead of shopping), I even was able to slip away and find some new treasures for myself. I saw lots of familiar faces and friends and its a great way to do some networking in this crazy business I love. I will be listing some of those new treasures on my Ebay site (fascinatingfinds) in the comming days and will continue to work on this thing you call Blogging. Till then, Cheers
