Just a Few of My "Objects of Desire"....

I thought you should know that I'm a Heavy Metal Junkie..... Although not in the usual sense. I have this wierd affection for Cast Iron Urns and Doorstops, Floral Tole Trays and Tole Sconces, French Enamelware, Old Wireware Baskets, Birdcages etc. etc. Most of which carry a floral theme. I thought I'd share with you my collection of Old Doorstops and Cast Iron Curtain Tiebacks. I will add some pictures that were featured and photographed for a Local Magazine in our area called 805 Living. Doorstops are so fun to collect and decorate with, especially when grouped together.....So enjoy!

What a lovely and fun collection. I only have one doorstop of a westie dog that I love very much. I would love a collection, but they are impossible to find around here..... I've seen some on Ebay, but then again they are so heavy to have send to Denmark where I live. Thanks for sharing, very inspiring!!

Hi Cheryl,

I have been a long time follower of your ebay auctions and have drooled over pics of your home in magazines and on Jennifer's site. Love the changes you have made since the last time you were Cottage of the Month. Stop by my blog sometime if you get the chance.

Best wishes,

Lisa

Howdy Cheryl! Just popping in from Jennifer's place.

What a GREAT collection. I just may have to do some heavy metal shopping myself!

I have an old clock that reminds me of some of these, it's plaster tho~

Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for stopping by my Rose Lake Cottage. Your comment was so very kind. Are you having fun blogging? I was just writing to Jennifer that I really don't go to Martha Stewart I watch her Cottage of the Month for decorating ideas and yours really gave me inspiration. I really study the pictures as we are renovating a Victorian Home in AL. It is my One Shabby Old House Blog.I will be stopping back by to see what you are up to and I hope you will come by and see me as well.
Take care
Becky
