I've Been Such a Slacker....

Its been 3 months since I've posted a blog and it took me 3 times to get signed in because I forgot my password...that should tell you something. Its been a great and busy Summer between leaving the Antique store and focusing on my home business I'm happy to say its proven to be successful. The feature of my home in Romantic Country Magazine was a nice help I actually feel like I'm working harder though....I'm not complaining by any means.
I've had some fun re-doing my eating area with a Vintage Oak French Dining Room Set I picked up. I had some white linen ruffled slips made for the seats to bring in the white and make it look a little more casual. Its a huge table over 7 ft. long and has a 2.5 ft. leaf that I can put in. The backs of the end chairs are a tan naugahide but it works for now. I traded out my Primative Farm Table and 6 white chairs. The chairs are sold but my 7 ft. Farm table is still available for sale. You can see it in the magazine or my past posts.

I also picked up a wonderful Old Black Iron Bed from a friend so I revamped my guest room a bit. I love how the bed is so high now and looks so comfy...makes me wanna come visit lol.

What do you think???

Hi Cheryl -
I love the dining table and the ruffled slips for the seats. It looks so pretty. Love the guest room also, I love the older beds and how they sit up higher. It makes me want to stay in bed all day!! Which is why I don't have one in my room LOL.

Cheryl,
Looks great. That table will be great for the holidays! I noticed that you took down all your tole trays. Did you sell them all? Isn't nice to "refine" that's what I call removing somethings so I can buy more and change the look! It's as good a reason as any to keep looking for geat treasure!!
Glad you're back!

Beautiful! Great to see you back! If it makes you feel better, I've been a bit of a slacker lately too. The summer was so busy and now we've been getting back into the swing of things with school starting. We all need a break now and again though. :)

Love the table. The contrast of the dark wood with the white is a look I find myself drawn to more and more. Can I book a couple of nights in your guest room?

OH~~~Welcome back! I was so excited to see that you posted, I just love having that on my sidebar. I love your home, i'ts how my home wants to be when it grows up:) Another blogger, English Cottage Collection is another home I like. She does not blog anymore either. Your home kinda remind me of yours, the white and dark wood.

Hi Cheryl! I think your home is gorgeous!!! You've inspired me to add more white instead of the too much black that I have!!! I have a similar guest room spread/pillows and will be updating that room too! I must go back for another look now!!! Glad you are back posting - I've been waiting patiently!!!lol Sincerely, Jeannette
